ABSORPTION CHILLERS
Chillers circulate chilled water to transfer heat from air to water. Heat is passed from the water to freon. The freon exits the evaporator as a cold vapor and enters the compressor as a hot vapor. The vapor enters the condenser where heat is transferred from the refrigerant to the water side of the condenser. Then it is circulated to an open cooling tower for removal of heat via evaporation in the cooling tower.
