The Dystor® system includes two durable membranes.  The outer membrane is cable restrained and remains inflated in a fixed position.  The inner membrane moves freely as it stores or releases gas generated from the anaerobic digestion process.  A preset operating pressure is continuously maintained between the two membranes.  This system can hold up to three times as much gas as conventional digester covers and consequently maximizes the energy benefits of the process, as well as the cost savings.

A complete mix organic digester is also known as a completely stirred tank reactor or CSTR. Manure moves through the system in a continuous flow. As new waste enters the tank, old waste is removed. Biogas production proceeds without any interruption from the loading and unloading of the waste material.

The attached growth digester utilizes an internal chamber that holds media for enhanced bacterial growth. The waste stream passes through the attached growth bacterial chamber exposing the waste to higher concentrations of bacteria as compared to the complete mix digester.
